| Faithful Guardians is dedicated to police and service dogs who have given their lives to protect us. Among others we have nine dogs buried here who participated in the Alfred P. Murrah Federal building bombing on April 19, 1995. Ben, an Oklahoma County Sheriff's Department bomb sniffer, was the first dog in the building minutes after the bombing. Arlo and Gunny are also buried here. They were search and rescue dogs who recovered the last 23 victims. The other dogs patrolled the perimeter. |
